Detect with Nickel AlertTM

Place two drops of Nickel Alert on a cotton swab. Rub the metal item firmly for 15-30 seconds with the swab. A pink-red color on the swab indicates nickel has been detected.
For best results, clean the item prior to testing with rubbing alcohol.
Do not reuse the swab. Retest your metal items with Nickel Alert periodically, even if already protected with Nickel Guard.
To demonstrate a positive test, rub a nickel coin, which contains 25% nickel, and it will turn the swab pink.
Protect with Nickel GuardTM

When nickel is detected, brush a thin layer of Nickel Guard's proprietary clear coating on your jewelry where metal makes skin contact. Let dry. Apply a second coat for extra protection.
Nickel Guard eventually wears off with use. Maintain protective properties by re-applying as necessary.
